Google takes a snapshot of each page it examines and caches (stores) that version as a backup - this is called the "cached" version. Clicking on the "cached" link takes you to an old, previously stored version of that web page, instead of the current version of the page. You can visit a cached page if a website is not loading due to slow internet connection or internet congestion. Sometimes, you can even visit a cached page with no internet connection at all, if the website requires a user password, or if the owner recently removed the page from the Web!

To view a cached page, click the little green arrow next to the website URL that appears in the search results.

What was the name of these ruins? When were they built? Could you go down the slides backwards?
