Quiz Corrective Opportunity
What is a "corrective"?
It is an assignment in which you correct your quiz answers in order to raise your quiz grade. This assignment is available because very few students actually improve their grades when they re-take a grammar quiz.
Who can do a corrective?
If you got a C or lower on a grammar quiz, you can do the corrective assignment.
How much can a corrective improve my grade?
If you follow all of the directions and answer all of the questions thoughtfully, you can increase your original quiz grade by one and a half letter grades. For example, if you got an F, a well-done corrective will raise your grade to a D+. If you got a D, the highest you can get is a "C+." However, if you got a C on the quiz, the highest grade you can get is also a "C+," because no one with a B grade or higher is allowed to do a corrective or a re-take.
How long do I have to submit a quiz corrective?
You have exactly two weeks after a quiz was returned to you to submit a quiz corrective. If you turn the assignment in after two weeks have passed, it will not be graded.
What are the assignment directions?
Follow these steps for every question you got wrong on the quiz. To help you complete the corrective assignment, here is a useful template:
